They alleged Swamy was trying to malign Chidambaram on the spectrum allocation issue. Former MLA Selvam and others were arrested, police said.
The Supreme Court had recently rejected Swamy's petition seeking Chidambaram's trial in the multi-million 2G spectrum allocation scam.
