Focus on city-based GM M Shyam Sundar

City-based Grandmaster M Shyam Sundar will be the one to watch out for at the lightning chess tournament to be held here from tomorrow.

The annual blitz event has attracted 608 entries including three Grandmasters and nine International Masters. Cash prizes totalling INR 204000 will be awarded to the first 67 players finishing in that order.

The winner will be awarded a cash award of INR 67000. Prizes will also be awarded to the best three players from Under 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16 age categories.

The latest blitz rules will be followed in the tournament.
