The Customs department today seized five different foreign currencies, including the USD and the Euro, worth Rs 1.12 crore in Indian rupees from two people at the Sanganer international airport here, officials said.
The accused, identified as Naresh and Javed, were travelling to Sharjah with the currencies inside their luggage, an official of the customs department said.
The seized currencies include USD, Euro, Riyal, Dirham and Dinar, the official said.

Naresh belongs to Bharatpur and Javed is from Kuchaman city of Nagaur district, he added.
The accused failed to produce documents in support of the currencies in their possession, the official said, adding that both were arrested under the Customs Act.
