Forest dept launches search drive for leopard

Forest department officials today launched a drive to search for a leopard which had sneaked into a human habitat here.

The leopard was caught on closed circuit television (CCTV) camera outside a residence, while it roamed about in Residency area a day before yesterday night, Divisional Forest Officer A K Soni said.

"We have launched a search in the Residency area and people have been alerted," he said, adding that the search operation would continue tomorrow.
