A guard of the Forest department drowned and another went missing in an overflowing stream late Saturday night in Kannad tehsil of Maharashtra's Aurangabad district, an official said.

His body was found Sunday afternoon while search for the other continued, the official said.

"Rahul Damodar Jadhav and Ajay Santosh Bhoi tried to cross a nullah inside a forest on a two-wheeler. They lost balance due to the current and were swept away," said the official.

The body of Jadhav has been fished out while Bhoi continues to be missing, he said.

The nullah is inside a forest near Bharamba Tanda village, about 80 kilometres from the district headquarters, he added.
