A forest official was today caught red-handed while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh in Chittorgarh district in Rajasthan.
Manohar Singh, posted as Ranger-I in Chittorgarh, had demanded the bribe from one Devi Singh for clearing his pending bills, the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) sources said.
After verification of the complaint, a trap was laid and the accused officer arrested, they said.
Unaccounted cash of Rs 4.46 lakh were also recovered from his house, the sources said, adding that he has been arrested.
