Forest official killed in road accident

A forest official was killed and his wife seriously injured when their motorcycle was allegedly hit by a speeding car in Subhashnagar locality here, police said today.

Akhilesh Chandra Sharma (47), a Deputy Ranger in the Forest Department, died on the spot yesterday night, while his wife Anita was rushed to hospital, they said.

Her condition is stated to be serious.

No information was available about the car involved in the accident.
