Former block head shot dead

A 48-year-old former block head was today shot dead by three unidentified bike-borne assailants near here, police said.

Sanjay Mishra was in a college campus in Malihamau village when three persons came on a motorcycle looking for him, they said.

Two of them entered the college premises and fired at him from close range.

He was rushed to a hospital where he was declared brought dead, police said, adding no arrest has been made in this connection.
