A former Karbi Revolutionary Army

(KRA) militant was apprehended by police today at Lahorijan in central Assam's Karbi Anglong police, said a senior police official.

The KRA ultra identified as Minthing Chonglo alias Livin (30) hailing from Manipur was and a .22 bore pistol, ten rounds of ammunition and some other items found in his possession, Superintendent of Police M J Mahanta told PTI.

The insurgent was planning to start a new underground outfit of ethnic Kuki community, Mahanta said.
