A former Pradhan has been arrested for allegedly distributing cash for votes for election to the post of gram pradhan here in Makhgava village, police said.
On a complaint, former pradhan Krisha Kumar Yadav was arrested for allegedly distributing money in favour of his daughter, Nisha Yadav, who is in the fray for the post, Station Officer Koirana Police Station, Harvansh Singh Yadav said.
Cash worth Rs 17,100 was recovered from his possession and a case has been lodged in this connection, the officer said.
