Former village head murdered by his children

A former village head was allegedly murdered by his three children at Manani village in Saharanpur district, police said today.

The body of Rampal (55) was found in his house yesterday. His sons Anil (23), Kuldeep (20) and a daughter Priyanka (16) are absconding after the incident, said SSP Vijay Yadav.

Police suspect it to be a revenge killing by the children of the victim. Rampal had allegedly murdered his wife in 2008.

A case has been registered and investigations are on, said the police.
