Former ZP president arrested

The Police today arrested a former Zilla Parishad president of Kendrapara in Odisha for an offence allegedly committed during his college days almost two decades back.

Nagendra Behera was booked under IPC sections 448 (house trespass) and under section 3 of Prevention of damage to public property act, 1984, the police said.

Behera was remanded to jail custody following refusal of bail to him by a local court, they added.
