Four children drowned today at different places under Kahalgaon sub-division in Bihar's Bhagalpur district, an official said.
Chotu Ansari (13) and Niazuddin (12) drowned after they slipped into the deep water of a pond in Srinagar village, while Ankit Kumar (10) drowned in the Ganga in Kasri Harichak village, Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Arunabh Chandra Verma said.
In another incident, Aman Ahmed (10) drowned in a water body at Ghogha Bazar, he said, adding that all the four bodies were fished out.
The kin of three children did not allow post-mortem to be conducted on religious grounds and the bodies were handed over to them, the SDO said.
