Four held for gangraping minor girl

The Thane district rural police have arrested four persons from Bhayander on the alleged charges of repeatedly gangraping a minor girl.

We have last night arrested the accused Amar Singh (20), Sunil Yadav (27), Sunil B (20) and R Yadav (20) for allegedly repeatedly gangraping the girl, now 17, since last eight months, Police Inspector Suresh Genje of Navghar police station told PTI today.

We have also detained a 17-year-old boy in connection with the incident, he said.

The accused used to take the victim, now pregnant, to an isolated place and abuse her in turns, Genje added.

Following a complaint on Thursday night, a case under relevant sections of IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act was registered, police said, adding a probe is on.
