Four held for theft of bikes

Four persons were arrested from Krishna district today for allegedly stealing motorcycles and 19 bikes worth Rs 6.50 lakh were seized from them, police said.

While police apprehended Basheer Basha and Nagur Basha in Challapalli village based on a tip-off, they arrested Adul Rauf and Nazeeruddin after their names were revealed by the duo during investigation, said Challapalli police station sub-inspector Mani Kumar.

The cases of bike-lifting had earlier been registered against all the accused under Challapalli and Avanigadda police stations.
