Four persons, including a lawyer, were arrested today in connection with the March 18 attack on a woman judicial Magistrate in the district, police said.
The four, who were arrested near Vedaranyam, were produced before a Judicial Magistrate here, who remanded them in eight days custody.
Police said that one more person was being questioned in connection with the attack.
Vedaranyam Magistrate Latha, given additional charge of the Nagapattinam Judicial Magistrate court, was returning home on March 18 night in a car, when some persons intercepted it and attacked her and the driver near Vailankanni.
Both of them were hospitalised.
