Four killed in KPLT attack

Four persons, including

three women, were killed in an attack by suspected Karbi Peoples' Liberation Tigers (KPLT) in Assam's Karbi Anglong district today.

A group of militants swooped down on Khowanigaon village and fired killing the four and also damaged several houses, police sources said.

The four dead were yet to be identified.

A clash had earlier taken place in the village, inhabited by Rengmas with Karbis, who had demanded that the Rengmas be booked immediately or they would resort to violence.
