Four persons were killed and three others injured when a car hit people one after another in an area under Habibpur police station in Malda district, police said today.
The incident occurred last night when the car first hit a man killing him on the spot. As people gathered, the car sped away killing another and finally hit a tree in which the driver was killed and four occupants were injured.
Later an injured man died in hospital. The condition of three other injured people is state to be stable.
