Four men booked in land grab case

Four persons were booked for allegedly grabbing a piece of land in Godhani area here, police said.

Prominent hotelier in the city Mohabbat Singh Tuli (65), his brothers Gurlal Singh Tuli (60), Bacchitar Singh Tuli and Shabbir Mohammad Ali Jiwani (32) were charged under offence on complaint of Sameer Siddiqui Parvez, (36), who alleged that Tuli had grabbed his land through forgery, a Police release issued here yesterday said.

According to the complaint filed with Koradi police station, Tuli, his brothers and Jiwani, had on April 10 forcibly took possession of the complainant's land by furnishing forged documents and also slapped and abused him.
 

Parvez said the four men also threatened him of dire consequences if he disclosed to anyone about it.

Koradi police have registered an offence of cheating, forgery of valuable documents, criminal trespassing, criminal intimidation and voluntarily causing hurt under relevant IPC sections.

No arrest has been made so far and further investigations were underway, police added.
