Four persons electrocuted in temple car procession

Four persons in a temple car procession were electrocuted when their vehicle scraped against an overhead electric wire near here, police said today.

The incident occurred early this morning at Ariyoor in the district when some iron parts in the temple car came in contact with the wire, resulting in electrocution of four persons, police said.

Some persons also sustained injuries, they said.

The mishap took place when devotees were participating in a procession of the local deity, police said.
