Four suspected robbers arrested, eight stolen cars recovered

Police have arrested four persons suspected to be part of a car theft gang active in Delhi-NCR.

The accused were arrested from Masuri area last night and eight stolen luxury cars were recovered from them, a police officer said.

The arrested are Sakender, Ajit Pal, Surrendra and Sunil, aged between 25 and 32 years.

"Police got information that all the accused were gathering near Nahal Canal to execute a robbery and laid a trap," the officer said.

The gang members opened fire at policemen in a bid to flee, but were arrested.

"We are interrogating the accused to know details of their gang and modus operandi," the officer added.
