Free health check-up camp for film artists and technicians

A two-day free health check-up camp for artists and technicians of Bengali entertainment industry was held to sensitise them on the merits of preventive healthcare.

The camp at Purple movie town, which ended today, was graced by popular actors Koel Mullick and Tanusree Chakraborty and attended by hundreds of members from all the 26 guilds of Kolkata film industry in association with directors and producers confederation of eastern India.

AMRI Hospitals CEO Rupak Barua said the health of those working in the entertainment industry is generally neglected as they have long and hectic working schedules.

The camp sought to emphasise the importance of timely preventive health checkup and how it could help to minimise health risks, he added.
