Freight rates for the nine-tonne payload section for select destinations dropped by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following tight cargo movements against large position of trucks.
Transporters said besides easy position of trucks, restricted cargo movements led to the fall in freight rates for some centres.
Delhi to Jaipur, Chandigarh, and Indore freight rates moved down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 17,000, Rs 19,000 and Rs 21,000 respectively.
Rates to Patna, Surat and Mumbai also fell by Rs 1000 each to Rs 24,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 28,000 respectively.
