French company sets up eastern hub in Bengal

An arm of French company Sonepar has established a new hub in West Bengal for eastern and north-eastern India.

"We have set up our base in the state through ESK Automation which will promote US based Rockwell Automation products and services in this part of the country looking at the opportunity," ESK India managing director Per Lindeberg said here today.

ESK Automation and ESK India are part of French family owned Euro 16.3 billion company Sonepar. ESK India is engaged in telecom service activities in India.

Lindeberg said that ESK's business in 2014 is likely to jump threefold to Rs 100 crore from Rs 30 crore with boost expected from distributorship from Rockwell for the entire east and north-eastern region.
 

US listed Rockwell Automation has presence in major core sectors including metals and oil and gas.

ESK expected lot of business from metals sector in both ferrous and non-ferrous in the eastern market.
