'Friends' creator Marta Kauffman has shot down reports that a new season of the popular TV sitcom is in the making.
The rumours began on social media with talk of supposed plans for a Thanksgiving 2014 reunion special, and were augmented last week when a Latin American news outlet reported that NBC had ordered a new full season of the show, reported Rolling Stones magazine.
"I'm going to clear this up - it's not happening! Friends was about that time in your life when your friends are your family and once you have a family, there's no need anymore," said Marta Kauffman, co-creator of the show.
'Friends' was an American sitcom, which revolved around a group of friends in Manhattan. It starred Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, Mathew Perry and Lisa Kudrow.
