Supermodel Naomi Campbell was nervous about her comeback to acting after six years but her fashion industry mentor Diane von Fursternberg persuaded her to take the plunge.
Campbell, 44, last appeared on the big screen in 2009 Bollywood flick, 'Karma, Confessions and Holi'. She will now be seen on Lee Daniels' TV drama 'Empire', reported Vogue.
"I've known Lee (Daniels) for a long time, but when he asked me to play to role I wasn't sure," Campbell revealed about the show. "I'd kind of given up on acting," she said.
The model said she had to seek out additional encouragement from Fursternberg, who told her to give it one more try.
