Gammon India posts net loss of Rs 225.77 cr in Oct-Dec quarter

Infrastructure major Gammon India today reported a net loss of Rs 225.77 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2013.

The company had posted a net loss of Rs 261.64 crore in the year-ago period, it said in a BSE filing.

Net sales of the company declined by 17 per cent to Rs 1,009.33 crore in October-December quarter this fiscal from Rs 1,216.47 crore in the same quarter of 2012-13 fiscal.

Overall expences of the company fell to Rs 1,092.27 crore in the third quarter this fiscal from Rs 1,394.79 crore in the year-ago period.

Shares of the company today fell by 1.87 per cent to close at Rs 12.62 apiece from its previous BSE closing.
