Gangwar meets traders in Varanasi post note ban

Union Minister of State for Finance Santosh Gangwar met traders meet in Varanasi to address their grievances post demonetisation, as he assured them that the Centre will look into their suggestions and demands.

The meeting was held at the Nagri-Natak Mandali here yesterday during which Gangwar sought to know the problems that the traders faced after the note ban.

He said that the government is working towards easing their problems.

The traders demanded the lifting of restrictions on the withdrawal limit from bank accounts and that they should be allowed to withdraw money as per their requirements.

In the meeting, over 500 traders gave a written suggestion to Gangwar, in which they demanded more sops in the upcoming Union Budget from the Centre.
 

Gangwar said the NDA government has made a rate cut for the medium and small scale industries.

He also said that if any officials from the Income Tax department unnecessarily harasses them, then they may send a complaint to he Finance Ministry.

The MoS also asked the traders and businessmen to give suggestion for GST.

BJP national general secretary Bhupender Yadav said the demonetisation scheme of the Union government has exposed those who don't pay taxes.

He said the scheme is beneficial for the country in the long run will reduce corruption and stop the flow of blackmoney and fake currency in the country.
