Gem & Jewellery Exhibition on Feb 8-10 in Chennai

The 10th edition of annual Gem and Jewellery India International Exhibition, scheduled to be held here next month, would have a separate pavilion for gold, diamond, platinum, precious stones.

The three day business-to-business exhibition, starting from February 8 at the Chennai Trade Centre, is being organised by media firm UBM India and Madras Jewellers and Diamond Merchants Associations of India (MJDMA).

"In this edition, we will be organising exclusive pavilion for gold, diamond, platinum, precious stones and semi-precious stones. We are looking for over 12,000 visitors during the event...," Gem and Jewellery India International Exhibition Chairman Rajesh Vummidi told reporters here today.
 

Apart from domestic jewellers, the event would witness participation from overseas markets like Singapore, Dubai, Malaysia, Qatar, he said.

Recognising the talents of the artisans, beginning from this edition, 'The Golden Hand Awards' would be presented to them, UBM India MD Joji George said.
