As part of its re-branding initiative, Geojit Comtrade Ltd would be known as Geofin Comtrade Ltd from tomorrow.
The Kerala-based company decided on the name change to better align with its future strategy and change in the structure of the company, a press release said today.
Commodities Research, Advisory and Intermediation services viz. Broking, Procurement and Delivery of commodities are some of the services which forms part of its continued offering in Commodities. The name change reflects a wider vision and commitment to provide comprehensive solutions catering to the commodity value chain, Geojit said in a press release.
In addition, the company announced the appointment of Girish Dev as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Geofin Comtrade.
He comes onboard after stints in senior management positions including, as Director, Capital First Commodities and as ED & CEO Networth Group.
