Germany congratulates Modi

Germany today congratulated Narendra Modi upon his swearing-in as the Prime Minister of India and assured full cooperation and support to him.

German Ambassador Michael Steiner, who attended Modi's swearing-in this evening, extended his greetings soon after the function at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

"In a letter, Ambassador Steiner, who attended the swearing-in ceremony, assured PM Modi of full cooperation and support of India's strategic partner, Germany," a spokesman at the embassy said tonight.
