Ghaziabad: Magistrate issues summons to SSP

A city court today reprimanded police officials of Kavinagar police station here over the arrest of a couple and summoned the SSP.

The order was issued by city magistrate Kapil Singh when policemen presented before him the couple Aakash Yadav and Shailaja whom they had arrested for breach of peace under section 151 of IPC.

Aakash and Shailaja had married in May this year in a temple and registered their marriage on July 23 this year. They were arrested yesterday when they had gone to a hospital for Shailaja's treatment.

Issuing the summons, the magistrate reprimanded the police officials for the arrest and directed them to keep the court informed about the action taken against those responsible.
