GHMC collects Rs Rs 188.06 crore taxes

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) received Rs 188.06 crore towards taxes till today following the Centre's decision to let citizens pay their utility bills with demonetised Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 notes.

After today's collection of Rs 6.06 crore, the total tax collection went up to Rs 188.06 crore, a GHMC release said, adding that the utility bills can be paid with demonetised notes till November 24.
