A girder at the Rapid Metro construction site in Sector 56 fell on an autorickshaw injuring three persons here today.
The incident occurred at around 12:45 pm when the conveyor belt of the crane carrying the girder broke and the girder fell on the autorickshaw.
The driver of the autorickshaw and two passengers, including a woman, sustained injuries.
All the three injured were taken to Artemis hospital. They were discharged after being given first aid.
According to Gurgaon Police PRO Hawa Singh, all the three occupants of the auto received minor injuries. No case has been registered as no one has come forward to file a complaint against the contractor or the Rapid Metro management.
When contacted, a spokesperson of Rapid Metro said it has initiated an inquiry and has asked the contractor to submit a detailed report.
