Girl injured in acid attack

A 24-year-old girl was today injured in an acid attack in Phulera town of the district, police said

"The victim was waiting for her grandmother outside a temple when a boy known to her, came and hurled acid at her," SHO Phulera Vikram Singh said.

She received burn injuries on head, face and breast, he added.

"After the incident, the accused identified as Rinkesh, fled from the spot on his motorcycle. The girl was taken to a local hospital from where she was referred to SMS hospital in Jaipur," he said.

"Reasons are not clear as the statement of the girl could not be recorded as she was taken to Jaipur. The boy is absconding and being searched," he added.
