Girl killed in bear attack

A 23-year-old woman was killed in a bear attack in Chamoli district of the state, police said today.

The victim, identified as Ankita, had gone to the nearby forests to collect fodder for cattle when she was attacked by the bear yesterday.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to injuries.
