Girl killed in leopard attack

An 11-year-old girl was killed after being attacked by a leopard in Nishangarha range of Katarniaghat wildlife division, a forest officer said here today.

Asmita was attacked by the leopard while she was playing outside her house in Rampurwa Matehi village last evening, divisional forest officer Ashish Tiwari said.

He said that the girl was rushed to a hospital, but she died on her way.

In another incident, Toofani (75) was injured in an attack by leopard in Dharmpur Retia village under Sujauli range yesterday, the DFO said.
