A student of class XI was allegedly attacked by her classmate after she objected to his misbehaviour with her, police said today.
According to police, the accused Azad attacked the girl with a knife and fled from the scene.
The incident took place yesterday at a local college here.
The girl was admitted to a hospital and is currently undergoing treatment. Police are on a look out for the boy who is on the run.
In another incident, two youths attempted to rape a 16-year-old girl last evening when she had gone to the fields to deliver lunch for her father in Hanswala village.
A case has been registered against the two youths - Hariram (25) and Virpal (21) - who fled after the girl put up a resistance and cried for help.
