Girl student fatally run over by tractor

A Class XII girl student was today fatally run over by a tractor in Bihar's Jehanabad district, a police officer said.

The victim, identified as Jannat (17) was walking on way to a private coaching institute for tutorial classes, when a speeding tractor crushed her under its wheels near Jehanabad block office on NH-83, an officer at Town police station said.

She died instantly, he said, adding the body has been sent for post-mortem at Sadar hospital.

The tractor driver and cleaner have been arrested on charge of rash driving, the police officer added.
