A youth and 21-year-old girl were allegedly murdered and their bodies today recovered from Jind-Panipat raliway line near Pandu Pindara station in the district.
According to the police, preliminary investigations revealed that Amit (25), resident of Narjan Village, was administered some poisonous substance while the girl Ritu, resident of Ashram basti, was strangled to death.
The bodies were recovered from the railway track this morning and handed over to the kin of the deceased after conducting post mortem examination.
Railway police have registered a case in this connection.
In another incident, 40-year-old Baljit, a resident of Jind city, was today found dead near a pond in Gobindpura village, police said, adding the deceased's father suspects foul play.
Investigations have been initiated to determine the cause of Baljit's death, police said.
