Goa Assembly condoles death of Congress leader Jaipal Reddy

The Goa Assembly on Monday condoled the death of senior Congress leader and former Union minister S Jaipal Reddy.

Reddy died at a hospital in Hyderabad in the early hours of Sunday. He was 77.

Speaker Rajesh Patnekar moved a condolence motion on the floor of the House.

Goa CM Pramod Sawant said Reddy's contribution to the country was immense, while Congress MLA from Navelim Luizinho Faleiro called the departed leader "well studied, eloquent and highly respected".
