Godown with freebies sealed by election officials

Election authorities today sealed a godown where a large quantity of mixers, grinders and fans meant for distribution free of cost under a Tamil Nadu government scheme had been stocked allegedly by an AIADMK corporation councillor.

Acting on a tip-off by local DMK leaders, an election flying squad rushed to the spot and found the freebies stocked in the godown of the city corporation in Sandaipettai locality, police said.

They alleged that 28th ward councillor Markabandhu had illegally stocked the mixers, grinders and fans in the godown.
