Gerard Butler's fantasy film "Gods of Egypt" will not be released in UK cinemas.
The movie, which was the centre of a "whitewashing" controversy after white actors were cast in Egyptian roles, became the biggest American box office flop of 2016 following its release last week.
The 100 million pound film reached second place on the chart but only took a disappointing 10 million pound, and the dismal takings has prompted the UK distributor to drop its scheduled cinema release.
