Gogoi announces financial assistance to Kalpana Lajmi

Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today announced Rs One lakh assistance to filmmaker Kalpana Lajmi, who is keeping unwell.

61-year-old Lajmi, who was the companion to late Dadasaheb Phalke awardee Bhupen Hazarika, was recently admitted to a Mumbai hospital with complaints of kidney ailments.

Gogoi, in a statement, announced the financial assistance to her from Chief Minister's Relief Fund.

The Chief Minister also wished her quick recovery and a healthy life.
