Gold worth Rs 10.4 lakh recovered from passenger

Customs officers at the NSCB International Airport here today recovered 400 gms of gold bar worth around Rs 10.4 lakh from a passenger who reached here from Bangkok.

Ashok Kumar Yadav was intercepted on his arrival from Bangkok by a SpiceJet flight and 400 gms of gold bar valued at Rs 10.4 lakh was recovered from him, which was concealed in the coils of the transformer of a speaker box he had brought with him, customs officers said.

Yadav has been detained for further questioning, they added.
