Gold worth Rs 23 lakh was seized from two passengers who arrived here from Sharjah today, police said.
The duo who arrived here in an Air Arabia flight, refused to undergo immigration checking even after being insisted by officials, they said.
On suspicion, they were taken to a nearby hospital where it was revealed during the examination that four gold ingots each were hidden in their anus, totally weighing 930 grams, police said, adding, they were taken into custody for questioning.
