Press Trust of India New Delhi
Delhi Labour Minister Gopal Rai today reiterated his demand for the Centre to clear the minimum wages bill proposed by the AAP government so that strict action can be taken against the violators.

Rai claimed that since the announcement of demonetisation, 60 per cent of labourers have left the capital and moved to their native villages.

The minister said the city administration has already introduced e-payments for labourers engaged in different projects.

"There is currently no fear among employers that's why they take ATM card of labourers and give them salaries after deducting their commission.

"If Centre approves our minimum wages bill, there will be provision of strict action against those employers violating rules," he said.
