Governor hails achievements of shuttlers Srikanth, Prannoy

Complimenting shuttlers Kidambi Srikanth and H S Prannoy on their achievements, Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana E S L Narasimhan today wished that they improve their world rankings further.

Srikanth, now ranked World No. 2 in the BWF rankings, and Prannoy, ranked 11, met the governor at Raj Bhavan here.

The whole nation is proud of their achievements, Narasimhan told them, a Raj Bhavan release said.

He wished Srikanth, who has won four Super Series titles this calendar year, becomes world No. 1 shuttler.

"The governor also said he wishes to see Prannoy, who won the US Open Grand Prix Gold title, to break into top 5 in the World Badminton rankings soon," the release said.
 

Complimenting on their achievements, Narasimhan wished the two badminton players keep the country's flag high by regularly winning tournaments.
