Delhi BJP today accused the Congress government of being responsible for unabated price rise of onion and other staple food items in the national capital.
"Onion prices have brought tears to eyes of common households but the Congress government failed to put any check on its prices. It is issuing completely misleading price lists claiming otherwise. This is like adding insult to injury," said a joint statement issued by Delhi BJP general secretaries Shikha Rai, Ramesh Bidhuri and Jai Prakash said.
They also criticized the Centre's decision to export onions to Pakistan while people back home are facing a crisis.
The BJP leaders alleged the Congress government "was playing in the hands of hoarders who are creating artificial shortage of onion and other food articles.
