A meeting between Rajasthan government and Gujjar leaders on the issue of reservation will be held on October 5, which will also be joined by legal experts.

A delegation of Gujjar leaders led by Kirori Singh Bainsla today met state ministers Rajendra Rathore, Hem Singh Bhadana and Advocate General Narpatmal Lodha, who assured them that the topic will be discussed on Sunday in presence of legal experts.

"We want 5 per cent reservation under the legal limit and the issue is lingering on for the last six years. Since the matter is in high court, it is for the state government to represent the case effectively so that the issue could be settled as soon as possible, Himmat Singh Gujjar, an aide of Bainsla, said.

Ruling party MLA Man Singh said that the meeting was held in cordial manner and the community members have been assured by the government full cooperation.

"Legal expert, government representatives, and community leaders would hold discussions in the next meeting on October 5," the MLA said.
